Which natural supplements can help with long-term constipation?

I don’t have a specific disease as far as I know, but I have on-and-off periods of terrible constipation from time to time. Is this enough reason to get a Colonoscopy? I’m not a fan of using too many meds – is there anything natural (but medically proven) that can help during these flare-ups?

You can use Metamucil which is a fiber supplement to help with constipation. If your symptoms are persistent, you should see a Gastroenterologist and they can discuss if you need a Colonoscopy.

You can try prune and kiwi fruit, 2 pieces a day.
