What diet should someone who is about to get a colonoscopy adhere to?

What can I serve for a patient who is having a colonoscopy two days from now? Please give me specific food to prepare.

You should follow the instructions given to you by your doctor.

In general you want to be on a clear liquid diet at last 24 hours before a colonoscopy to get the best results. Clear liquids means anything you can see through. Avoid red, orange or green dyes if possible. Also avoid anything with seeds, corn or what we consider “high residual” foods for at least 2-3 days prior to the procedure.
