The ASGE and ACG guidelines say that screening should start at age 50, but typically after the age of 75 routine screening isn’t recommended, especially if you do not have a family history or personal history of malignancy. SO, if no symptoms it is reasonable not to undergo colonoscopy for routine colon cancer screening. If you have bleeding or other alarming symptoms, you could make the argument for it.
