How long before a colonoscopy should a patient stop eating solid food?

My husband is having a colonoscopy tomorrow morning at 11:45 am. He ate breakfast this morning at 8:30 am (pancakes, eggs, sausage). Chicken noodles soup broth for lunch and dinner tonight. He started drinking Go Lightly Prep at 6:00 pm tonight. Is this going to be a problem since it will be 28 hours between the time he ate solid food and the actual procedure?

It should not be a problem as long as he drinks plenty of clear liquids throughout the day and completes his bowel preparation. We typically have our patients stop solids for at least 24 hours and that has been fine for the vast majority of our patients.
