Dr. Madhu Vennikandam is a graduate of Trivandrum Medical College from Kerala University in India. Following her education, she moved to the United States to pursue residency and fellowship. She is a board-certified internist who completed her residency in internal medicine at Cook County Health in Chicago, Illinois. She obtained her advanced transplant hepatology fellowship at the University Hospitals of Columbia & Cornell in New York. Dr. Vennikandam is currently a gastroenterology fellow at Sparrow Hospital, a teaching hospital of Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, Lansing, Michigan. She also serves as a fellow clinical instructor at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. Besides being a physician, she is also a medical mentor and co-founder of a medical mentorship and coaching startup called ” MyDocDoor” that helps aspiring medical students and residents in their journey to medical residency and fellowship in the United States.
