Dr. Lucas M. Drake graduated from Indiana University in 2000. In 2005, he received a Medical Degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. Dr. Drake then moved to South Carolina where he studied to become a gastroenterologist at the Medical University of South Carolina. In 2011, he completed his internship, residency and fellowship training at the Medical University of South Carolina. Dr. Drake is board-certified to perform advanced endoscopy with Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). At present, he treats patients at the Indianapolis Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He joined this GI group in August 2011 after completing his fellowship training at the University of South Carolina – Charleston.
Dr. Drake associates himself with several national gastroenterology societies such as the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE). He is also a part of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) and the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG). Dr. Drake is, additionally, involved at the local level as a member of the Indianapolis Medical Society. When he isn’t working, Dr. Drake likes to stay physically active. He enjoys playing golf, snowboarding, biking and hiking. He also loves spending quality time with his wife and 2 children.
