Dr. G. Todd Lemmel is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Dayton and his Medical Degree from the University of Cincinnati. After earning his Medical Degree, Dr. Lemmel moved to Indiana to train to be a gastroenterologist. He finished his internship, residency and fellowship work in 1996 at Indiana University Medical center. He has since been seeing patients at a large private practice group called Indianapolis Gastroenterology and Hepatology. At present, Dr. Lemmel has certification from both the Board of Gastroenterology and the Board of Internal Medicine. He was recognized as a “Top Doctor” in 2011 by U.S. News & World Report for his quality practice.
As Vice President of Indianapolis Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Dr. Lemmel is dedicated to committees that make his group a highly regarded private practice. He is associated with the nearby St. Francis Hospital System, as the Chairman of the Internal Medicine Patient Care Committee. As for his commitment to gastroenterology societies at the national level, Dr. Lemmel is a member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA). At the local level, he is a member of the Indianapolis Medical Society and the Indiana State Medical Society.
When Dr. Lemmel isn’t treating patients or serving as a leader in the medical community of Indiana, he likes to spend time with his family. He is married with 4 kids. Dr. Lemmel’s interests include camping in national parks, taking photographs and coaching baseball. He also enjoys basketball and golf.
