Dr. E. David Brown holds degrees from Brigham Young University (BYU) and Indiana University School of Medicine. He finished training to be a gastroenterologist in 1985, after finishing internship, residency and fellowship work at Indiana University Medical Center. Currently, Dr. Brown has certification from both the Board of Internal Medicine and the Board of Gastroenterology. He sees patients at Indianapolis Gastroenterology and Hepatology, a private group practice he joined in July of 1985.
In addition to other distinctions, Dr. Brown is a fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology (ACG) and an acting member of the Indiana State Medical Association. He has proven himself to be a leader in his community and is well respected by others in the Central Indiana healthcare field. Dr. Brown served as President of Indianapolis Gastroenterology and Hepatology and as President of the medical staff at Community Hospital South. He also served as the Chairman of the Credentialing Committee at both Johnson Memorial Hospital and Community Hospital South. Dr. Brown is currently Indianapolis Gastroenterology and Hepatology’s Treasurer.
Dr. Brown is married and lives in Indianapolis, Indiana. He has 2 kids and 2 grandkids. In his spare time he enjoys photography, music and oceanography. Dr. Brown is also an Eagle Scout and an active member of his church.
