Professional Bio

Dr. Erick Alayo is a gastroenterologist who practices medicine in Chula Vista, CA. Dr. Alayo earned his medical degree from the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru. Then at Chicago’s Cook County Hospital, Dr. Erick Alayo conducted his residency and Internal Medicine internship. He went on to complete his fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the same institution. Dr. Alayo uses a very high standard of care when treating and diagnosing gastrointestinal orders. He has conducted a large body of clinical research and his special interests include conditions that affect the pancreas and liver. Dr. Alayo is fluent in both English and Spanish.
