Experience & Background
Gina Sam is a board-certified gastroenterologist specialized in GI motility. At her private practice, she focuses on various health issues such as irritable bowel syndrome, gastroesophageal reflux and colon cancer screenings, among others. Dr. Sam spent years in academia before founding her private practice in 2017. She then built the Gastrointestinal Motility Center at Stony Brook Medicine, served as director of the Gastrointestinal Motility Center at Mount Sinai Hospital, and was as an assistant professor at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where she specialized in motility disorders and general gastroenterology. She is also dedicated to volunteer work, promoting public health and raising awareness about women’s health in underserved communities.
