Colonoscopy is an extremely well tolerated procedure. It is done on an outpatient basis. We give some minimal sedation to keep the patient comfortable. In experienced hands, especially a Board Certified Gastroenterologist’s hands, colonoscopy is an extremely well tolerated with very minimal discomfort.
