What causes gastrointestinal bleeding?

This question was asked in Indianapolis, Indiana on 04/16/2012.
I believe I am a healthy person. I don't have vices and exercise regularly. But I found blood in my stool recently. I'm just wondering why I developed it when I'm this healthy. What do I need to do to stop the gastrointestinal bleeding?
