What can I expect during an endoscopy?

This question was asked in East Los Angeles, California on 04/05/2012.
I am such a coward when it comes to medical procedures but it always seems like the doctors downplay them so much. What should I expect then?

The prep is the worst part, but the most important part. You need to follow the directions carefully. During the colonoscopy, you will be given medications to make you comfortable. During the procedure, you should not feel any pain. You may have some cramps, but that will pass.
