What are the chances that polyps will be found during my colonoscopy?

This question was asked in Flint, Michigan on 10/25/2012.
I had a large, non-cancerous polyp removed 3 years ago during a routine colonoscopy. I am getting ready for my next colonoscopy. What are my chances of having no polyps this time around?

There is a 30-40% chance that polyps will be found in the course of your colonoscopy.
