Should I be concerned if I passed a polyp after a colonoscopy?

This question was asked in Granbury, Texas on 04/27/2012.
My daughter had a colonoscopy over a week ago. The doctor removed 2 small polyps. There was a third large one he tried to remove and he said he only got about 20% of it. Today she passed what looked to be the remainder of the polyp. The pathology came back positive on the larger one. Should I be concerned?

Passing the poylp is not a concern if there is no blood. But the remainder of the polyp does need to be removed at some time.

It would be unusual to be able to visualize the polyp in the feces. Please follow up with the physician that performed the colonoscopy to find out how he would like you to proceed.
