How often should I get a colonoscopy if I have had a precancerous polyp removed in the past?

I had a precancerous polyp removed when I was 30 years old. How frequently should this be checked?

If you had a single precancerous polyp taken from your colon you should have a repeat in 5 years at the minimum - if you had more than 2 polyps removed, it should be sooner.
