Overview

Dr. Steven J. Morris is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist and Managing Partner of Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates, one of the nation’s premier gastroenterology practices. Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates (AGA) was established over 35 years ago and has since grown into one of the largest gastroenterology practices in the entire United States. The board certified physicians of AGA have accumulated the experience, knowledge, and skill necessary to treat patients suffering from all categories of digestive and liver diseases. In addition to administering colon cancer detection and treatment procedures, AGA’s physicians are highly skilled at treating and evaluating every type of digestive and liver disorder. Over 60 AGA physicians diagnose and treat patients in 30 locations that conveniently serve the north Georgia and Atlanta metropolitan area. AGA also operates seven cutting edge Endoscopy Centers where state of the art outpatient procedures are conducted. If patients require hospitalization, AGA physicians also have privileges at the most hospitals in the greater Atlanta area.

Dr. Steven J. Morris is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Dr. Morris earned his undergraduate degree Phi Beta Kappa from State University at Buffalo in New York, where he also earned his medical degree. He completed his residency and internship in Atlanta at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals. He completed his digestive diseases fellowship from the University of Miami. Dr. Morris also earned a law degree from the Georgia State University College of Law.

Dr. Morris is a member of many professional medical associations including the American Gastroenterology Association, American Medical Association, American College of Physicians, Georgia Gastrointestinal Society, Medical Association of Georgia, and the Medical Association of Atlanta. Dr. Morris is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, a Fellow of American College of Gastroenterology, and is former President of the Georgia Gastrointestinal Society. He has also served as chief of staff of Emory University Hospital’s Midtown Hospital. He currently serves as Clinical Associate Professor of the Emory University School of Medicine.
